The Non Resident Keralites’ (NRK) Affairs Department has constituted an NRK Infrastructure Initiative Fund in consideration of the severe crunch on the availability of public funds for the development and funding of infrastructure projects in the state and the need of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in infrastructure projects.

The Infrastructure Initiative Fund is to be a revolving fund providing for the project development expenses for a set of short-listed projects with an ultimate goal of private sector participation, wherein upon financial closure, the expenses incurred would be revamped from the successful projects. The fund would charge a premium over the project development expenses through a success fee charged to the successful private participant in order to cover project mortality expenses and operational expenses.

The interested government departments /organizations/ entrepreneurs may fill in the details of the projects to be taken up through the Infrastructure Initiative Fund in the  prescribed format.

The high power committee drafted for the purpose shall evaluate each project and the selected projects would be funded according to the rules of the fund.

The departments / organizations /entrepreneurs could make use of the expertise of ICIC-Kinfra Ltd., the strategic advisors to the fund for preparing the project information format.

The departments organizations /entrepreneurs may kindly fill in the details on the projects that they intend to take up through private participation in the relevant format.

On short-listing the projects, the fund would try to get detailed information from the concerned departments /organizations / entrepreneurs  .
